Trailblazers: Meet The Creatives- Episode 7: Visionolic, The Rapper

Mi Gente! Welcome to Episode 7 of Trailblazers: Meet The Creatives series.

Today, we share the story of Sebastian, a rapper from Queens, New York, known by his stage name Visionolic.

Sebastian, took a leap of faith a few years ago while working as a stockbroker. He has been writing lyrics and recording songs since the age of 10 but continuously ignored his passion until one day while sitting in his office he remembers listening to Will Smith’s song “You just decide!”: You just decide! what is going to be, who you gonna be and how your gonna do it”  when he made the decision to pursue his passion and become a rapper.

From that day on, Visionolic was born and since then he has been working nonstop writing lyrics, recording his music and even building his own studio!

Tell us about yourself, who are you and what do you do.

My name is Sebastian Rivera but I am known as Visionolic. I am an upcoming rapper from Queens, NY.

The message of my music is to never give up no matter the circumstances.

My biggest influence is that thing who created whatever this life is. How intelligent and powerful you have to be to create a whole space filled with planets and humans?

Should art be funded? Why?

Yes, absolutely. Art should be funded to push the exposure of the creation.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Secure health, wealth, love and happiness.

What is your dream project?
My dream project is to partner with a major records label.

What’s next for Visionolic?

Promoting my single “City of Frowns” which is out now on Soundcloud.

I just finished building my own studio where I mix and master all my songs. It took me two years to do this but it was worth, I learned all the behind the scenes and now I’m ready to work on my music and to collaborate with other artists. Let’s get it!

I hope you all support Visionolic and his music!
