Corrine Booker- Day 19- 31daysofWomen

“A woman’s strength summed up into a single word definiton is not an easy task. However if you ever question it, doubt it or need a reminder of it, you should know:
A woman creates life, she nurtures life and does all of this while she carries life. She delivers life, she raises life and builds life all while conquering life.
To measure all of that with one word, for me, it would be impossible. But if I had to choose one, it would be “UNSTOPPABLE”.”~Corrine Booker, Sales Analyst, Queens, New York.

I met Corrine on a rainy night in September 2011. She is one of those persons that are the “life of the party”, loud, funny with an extensive repertoire of impromptu jokes that will have you laughing until your stomach hurts. From the moment you meet her, if she likes you, she will tell you her life story and if she doesn’t like you, well you better walk away because that will not change lol.
Corrine’s story is very compelling to me. She had her first child at the age of sixteen following an open heart surgery but that didn’t stop her, she recovered and graduated High School and College while raising her daughter. Unfortunately she has beared the pain of losing a baby boy who was 3 months old and a daughter shorty after due to a car accident, but life blessed her with another child, her son Jayden or as she calls him “her miracle baby.
One of the things I admire from Corrine is her strength and the ability to never lose her smile and compassion despite anything that’s going on in her life . She is also that friend that will cry with you, scream with you, will fight for you and support your dreams and help in any way she can for you to achieve them.
She’s been a great supporter of all things Wendy Angulo Productions and has worked as a Marketing Consultant and Analyst for my company, she is the brain behind some of our promotions.
I don’t know how she does it but she manages to do it all. She is a single mother of two, also a Sales Analyst to one of the biggest telecommunication companies in the city and you know her job is extremely demanding, she is also a dedicated daughter, sister and friend.
She is one of those women behind the scenes , not everyone knows about but that deserves recognition because her contribution to society is palpable and one that makes a difference in every life she touches.
Today on her birthday I celebrate her and honor the woman and friend she is.
