Thomas Fucaloro is NYC poet and founding editor of Great Weather for Media and editor of Staten Island’s new literary magazine NYSAI. His latest book “It Starts from the Belly and Blooms” is out now, published by Three Rooms Press. He teaches poetry workshops at the NEON Bronx Probation Center, Writopia Lab, and The Acorn Youth Treatment Center. He holds an MFA in creative writing from the New School.

His poems have been published by: The Best American Poetry Website, Uphook Press, Stained Sheets, Maintenant: A Dada Journal, Tribes, Brownstone Poets, By the Overpass, The Red Wheelbarral, Green Pavilion Anthology, Keep This Bag Away from Children, Awosting Alchemy, Anatomy, Clutching at Straws, Idiom, Statement of Record, Short, Fast and Deadly and Eleven and a half.

Thomas has performed all over the country from Bus Boys and Poets to California. He has performed at this following colleges: The New School, St. John’s University, College of Staten Island, and Carlton College. He participated in the 2014 National Poetry Slam Competition in Oakland, CA as a member of the LouderArts Slam Team. Recently he has been nominated as Staten Island’s Best Writer of 2014 by Staten Island Arts.

He is a member of the Canvas of Words Poetry Tour that kicks off January 2015.
